Montalto - the anticipation

Looking forward to our Christmas Present that my folks and I have promised each other for the last two years.

Instead of gifts, we made a pact that we would head out to a nice restaurant for great food and wine, hang the expense.

And tonight's the night!

Panfried scallops on du puy lentils with pancetta and cauliflower purée - $21
Slow cooked ocean trout with garden horseradish cream and petit salad - $21

Duo of Flinders Island lamb; roasted loin, braised shoulder sausage with pomme dauphine, ratatouille and jus gras - $42
Gamekeepers aged tenderloin, braised beef cheek with celeriac purée and sauce poivrade - $42
